EQUASHIELD®’s  Spike Adaptor (SA-180) and Female Luer Lock Connector (FC-180) work hand in hand to efficiently prepare and administer multiple chemotherapy drugs to a patient while reducing the number of components needed. SA-180 is designed with a pre-bonded EQUASHIELD Luer Lock Adapter to a bag spike, allowing a secure and leak-free connection to an IV bag. FC-180 connects to the SA-180 via a pre-bonded Female Connector and contains an IV tubing port, allowing for seamless drug delivery to the patient.

Fewer Components, More Flexibility

The SA-180 and FC-180 components allow for more flexibility during chemotherapy treatment. Oncology nurses can easily switch between different drugs without having to change out components or waste any medication for multiple treatment therapy.

Working hand in hand, Equashield’s Spike Adaptor (SA-180) and Female Connector (FC-180) offer innovative solutions that have transformed the process, making it simpler, safer, and more efficient.

They allow for multiple medication administration with safe, streamlined connections and disconnections. The components offer increased ease-of-use while simultaneously reducing the risk of contamination, errors, and number of components needed. Providers can feel confident that they are never exposed to hazardous medications during administration, even after multiple connections and disconnections. The FC-180 has a unique locking mechanism that ensures that the IV tubing will never accidentally be dislodged. This innovative feature is a significant advantage since the products are intended for multiple manipulations.
