IV Tubing Sets

IV Tubing Sets Configurations

EQUASHIELD®’s Tubing Sets contain EQUASHIELD®’s Spike Adaptor or Luer-Lock Adaptor integrated with a tubing set. These sets are designed to fit into any standard IV bag, enabling safe and efficient transfer of medication dose into the IV Bag. Considering variations among various IV Bag manufacturers and that no one IV port fits all bags, EQUASHIELD® produces two Secondary Sets, SA-EZ/E for regular ports and SA-EZ/ST for larger ports. These sets help optimize the time and cost of drug delivery via Secondary IV Infusion. LL-1Y is a Y-Site Tubing with EQUASHIELD® Luer Lock Adaptor, a female luer lock, a clamp, and a male luer lock with a vented cap.

Leak Free and Dry Connections

EQUASHIELD®’s luer lock adaptors and connectors are designed to convert any standard luer lock port into a closed system connection for leak-free and dry connection.

EQUASHIELD®’s Female Connectors, FC-1 and FC-1S, offer a secure and compliant connection for IV lines, minimizing the risk of accidental disconnections during drug administration. The FC-1 is a standard connector, while the FC-1S is a free swiveling connector, both designed to ensure the safe and reliable administration of hazardous drugs.

SA-EZ/F is designed specifically for Paclitaxel administration, a process that necessitates a 0.2-micron hydrophilic filter. Paclitaxel is a high-viscosity drug prone to issues like aggregation, making filtration essential before entering the bloodstream, as indicated in the drug’s instructions for use (IFU). The key advantage of this EQ tubing set is its non-PVC construction, crafted from TPU, ensuring superior performance.
