Mark Stanfield has had a diverse career path, starting as a musician and later working in Hollywood producing television commercials. However, after the events of September 11, he felt a calling to make a difference in people’s lives and found his path as an oncology pharmacist.
In 2017, he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, which led him to question the safety of certain medical equipment at his workplace. Concerned about the potential harm to others, he embarked on a mission to improve safety in the medical field by identifying a closed system transfer device (CSTD) that effectively prevents vapor escape.
