Clinical Operations Manager

Equashield is looking for a Clinical Operations Manager to join our fast growing team.

Position Summary:

Clinical Operations Manager  provides clinical and sales support to clients and team members for implementing Equashield Closed System Drug Transfer Device (CSTD) ensuring support services are provided in accordance with nursing and pharmacy standards and company policy. This role is based out of Port Washington, NY.

General Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Manage and oversee daily clinical operations for trials, implementations, re-education requests;
  • Product complaint support;
  • Build & manage effective relationships with customers;
  • Provide clinical support to reporting clinical team members; may provide direct education as needed * Registered Nurse licensure required;
  • Provide virtual training sessions as requested by customers, sales reps, and clinical team members;
  • Support on-boarding training in office and out in the field;
  • Manage vendor credentialing requirements for the sales and clinical teams;
  • Provide leadership to direct reports;
  • Manage all teammate employment/ HR activity such as payroll, PTO, development plans, hiring, promoting, job performance, evaluations, and disciplinary actions with appropriate approvals as required;
  • Ensure compliance to all applicable regulations;
  • Coordinate activities with Equashield management team, cross-functional departments, Registered Nurses, pharmacy technicians and others as needed.

Staff Development:

  • Educates company staff in clinical aspects as needed or requested;
  • Attends educational meetings , trade shows, or other as required by company policies;
  • Maintains knowledge base of oncology, safe handling and hazardous drugs.

  • Maintains confidentiality of necessary and proprietary information;
  • Thinks and acts calmly and logically to meet unusual occurrences of the job;
  • Understands and utilizes adult learning principles/concepts;
  • Maintains schedules and documentation of work Manages time efficiently and effectively;
  • Communicates timely and effectively with manager and company staff.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the State Board in which he/she practices;
  • BSN, Oncology or infusion experience, knowledge of hazardous drugs used across healthcare setting and/or a certified pharmacy technician with oncology admixture experience in good standing with state and certification agencies;
  • Excellent skills in organization, documentation, interpersonal relationships and communication both verbal and written;
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Ability to multi-task in a fact paced environment.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel overnight as needed

Inside Sales Representative

Equashield is looking for an Insides Sales Representative based out of Port Washington, New York.

Inside Sales Representative:

We are seeking a high-energy, experienced, and passionate Business Development Representative who enjoys being on the phone to identify opportunities and set meetings for others to attend to close deals. In this position you will have a critical role in the national strategic plan and growth strategy by researching business information, identifying potential leads, developing productive relationships with key decision makers at Equashield, and setting meetings with potential customers.

Experience Requirements and Responsibilities include:

  •  Qualified candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree;
  • Candidate should have at least 2 yrs. of proven success with phone sales and use to making 50-100 calls per day;
  • You must have a terrific and persuasive phone presence. You should like to be on the phone and talk to people you’ve never met to identify needs and set meetings. People enjoy talking to you too and listen more than they hang up;
  • You need to be able to talk intelligently about Healthcare safety, oncology drug preparation and oncology drug delivery without being an expert in them;
  • You should have the ability to generate your own contacts using various tools such as LinkedIn, hospital research etc.
  • You have a proven track record of securing meetings w/top level decision makers;
  • You can consistently make 100s of calls per week and record data accurately about those calls which means you can efficiently track information and maintain data (in the CRM) that are key indicators of performance and success in the job;
  • As part of the sales team, you are key to the national meeting sales objectives but are ok not being the one who closes the sale;
  • You consistently work effectively with the sales team and prospects to identify and communicate needs and schedule appointments;
  • You enjoy supporting marketing, advertising and promotional activities overall;
  • Don’t mind (and may even enjoy) weekly sales meetings and update meetings with the Regional Sales Manager (and others), and come prepared to present on call activity and what’s in the pipeline.

Basic Areas of Knowledge and Skills:

  • Great phone presence;
  • Excellent project and time management skills;
  • Great interpersonal skills with a positive and optimistic outlook;
  • Some understanding of the US Healthcare market would be great, but not required;
  • Strong research and analysis skills;
  • Organizational skills;
  • Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
